Oh and you might be wondering....why the name "My Cowlick"? "Why did she create this blog"? and what does she mean "Alterations by Amanda"?
To answer the first question....
My Cowlick is a metaphor to my personality...
According to dictionary.com, a cowlick is a tuft of hair that grows in a direction different from that of the rest of the hair. That is how I see myself.
Why did I create this blog?
I wanted to capture my personal style, trips, and other events in my life.

Alterations by Amanda...
My mom has had a tailor shop pretty much all my life. I have been taught at a young age to sew and have watched her altered clothing and transform clothes into a perfect fit for customers. This could be the reason why I see the potential in even the most unappealing or misshaped items.
Living in a different city, I must alter clothes myself with a $20 sewing machine from Urban Outfitters. It is a pretty nifty machinery! I am no way as a great seamstress as my mom (whose fantasy dream is to be a fashion designer) but I am trying.
